Every time I went into the dressing room, I had always cried😭. I couldn't believe how much I had let myself go. Everything I wanted didn't fit, I didn't feel good about my body, I just didn't like my reflection in the mirror. I ALWAYS hid behind the camera. I tried to eat my pain and insecurities away EVERY TIME...
I had tried everything I could in the past to lose weight but it either wasn't working or I gave up. I knew what I had to do, I just wasn't ready. I was too lazy to put in any effort, I always had excuses. I was so angry with myself for letting myself go. It hurt so bad and I just couldn't. I didn't know how to deal with it.
But then God taught me how, day by day, he gave me the motivation I needed, he led me and slowly I put in work, I dedicated my time. May 2015, I started cutting out most of my carbs and I started walking which eventually led to running. When I started seeing results, I couldn't stop. I recently included weightlifting in my routine.
Initially, I was just about losing weight, now it's about getting fit and healthy We are the creators of our destinies. We can either choose to be happy and do what we want anyway or stay miserable and wish endlessly. Only hard work will get you what you want.
So far I have lost about 17.6kg/38.8lbs in 6 months. I am on this journey to be fit and happier😁😁💪 my self confidence has gone up to the roof! See more photos of me below.
Always believe in yourself.
You will never achieve anything great if you only grind on the days when you feel like it. Keep going. Keep pushing even when it seems impossible and just so hard.
