Pictured: Horrific Scenes from Inside the Mali Hotel Attacked by Islamist Gunmen
Radisson Blu hotel came under attack by jihadists armed with AK-47s and hand grenades yesterday in Mali capital Bamako.
Horrific photos from inside the hotel have been released and they show several rooms in the hotel destroyed while blood was smeared throughout the stairwells and corridors.
The gunmen spoke in English and tested hostages' knowledge of the Koran before allowing Muslim hostages to leave. 27 people were killed during raid.
Officials say notorious one-eyed Algerian militant Mokhtar Belmokhtar was 'likely behind' the massacre. At least three of the terrorists escaped from the hotel and are on the run according to the
Malian government.
Malian president Ibrahim Boubacar Keita was brought to the Radisson Blu hotel to see the tragedy.
