Wild Lion Escapes From Jos Wild Life Park
There is a lion on the mountain, run run run. A big big lion, run run run...
A lion has escaped from the Jos Wild Life Park on Wednesday, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
According to Mr John Doy, the Acting General Manager, Plateau Toursim Corporation, the lion escaped “at about 8 a.m while it was being fed.”
Doy said that the lion, which had been caged since 1972,“ slipped through the gate of the cage when it was opened for its routine feeding.”
“The animal is still within the vicinity of the Park but our fear is that the Park is not fenced.
“We are struggling to recapture it, but we want members of the public to be vigilant,” he said.
The Acting General Manager said that he had already informed all security agencies to come to the Park’s assistance.
Mrs Naomi Cishak, Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), confirmed news of the escape, but said that the office had not been officially informed.
“We have not been officially informed, but we are aware of the incident; that is why we have not deployed our personnel there,” she said.
When contacted, the Public Relations Officer, Plateau Police Command, Mr Emmanuel Abuh, said: “We are somewhere, cannot talk to anyone”. (NAN)

Look At The Face Of A Would-be Rapist Whose Victim Fought Back
This would-be sex attacker got more than he bargained for when his victim fought back.
Johnathon Holmes, 35, dragged a 21-year-old woman into some bushes in Sheffield, but ended up getting a taste of justice.
She bit his tongue, hit him in the face and punched him in the stomach during the terrifying ordeal.
Holmes has now been jailed for four and half years after Sheffield Crown Court heard his victim say she was convinced he was going to rape her.
She told the court: ‘My life would have been over – he might as well have killed me right there. I was so terrified but so angry.’
He was seen stalking her through the streets for more than an hour and the victim crossed the road three times to try and shake him off.
But he pushed her into some bushes and climbed on top of her telling her ‘you are going to enjoy this’.
Holmes began to grope her breast as his victim tried to hit him in the stomach, face and neck while screaming for help.
He told her to shut up and put his hand over her face and then forced his tongue into her mouth.
The woman bit down hard on his tongue and Holmes began to lose his grip on her.
Rachael Harrison, prosecuting, said the victim managed to get herself into a position over Holmes where she could put her keys against his neck and throat.
Two passers-by heard the woman’s cries for help and Holmes jumped over some railing as he tried to escape, injuring himself in the process.
In a victim impact statement read to the court, his victim said: ‘A few days ago I read about the body of a missing girl being found not far from where I was attacked. It made me sick to my stomach and brought everything back.
‘I just want this all over so I can go on with my life.’
Amy Earnshaw, representing Holmes, said: ‘He can’t say why he has acted as he did.’

Blog Reader Jude Narrates His Ugly Experience inside a Commercial Bus
Hello Laila,
Something ugly but usual happened to me yesterday and I want to share with fellow BV's. I boarded a commercial luxury bus and before we could set off, a man whom i thought was a pastor got up and started casting out demons.
After praying, he introduced his product. It is called miracle seed. It cures virtually every sickness. I got fed up with the deceit and decided to interject. "Oga there is no such thing as miracle seed", I told him. " Tell us what this seed is used for and stop lying to us ".
Everybody in the vehicle picked on me. " Why are you spoiling somebody's business?" "If you don't like what he is saying why don't you just keep quiet and mind your business?" "Envy, bad belle is a big problem". All for me for admonishing the " miracle seed " seller to at least tell his prospective buyers the truth? If only they knew what harm his lies would likely cause those who believe him. Ours is a society where an attempt to put things right means spoiling someone's business.
