My Love. My Pride: Time to Show The World Who Makes You Smile
Hello TILBers.
The time has come for y'all to come out of your shells and flaunt what you ve got. Love is a beautiful thing and should never be hidden except you aint proud of him or her.
That got me thinking - one thing I've noticed in just about every happy marriage or relationship - the husband/boyfriend is proud of his wife/girlfriend. I was thinking of my mom and dad - and it was obvious from the way he talked about her that he was proud of her.
I read somewhere that a little girl needs her father to help her have a healthy sense of self-esteem. Little girls who know their Daddy is proud of them grow up feeling confident in themselves. I got to thinking - maybe in a marriage/relationship, the husband does a little bit of that same thing for his wife? When a husband is proud of his wife, he helps her feel more confident and self-assured, and she blossoms. .
And, I think the reverse is also true - when a wife is confident in her husband and shows she supports and respects him, A happy woman flaunts her man at any given opportunity, it means a lot to the man's ego and general sense of security and well being. he is more empowered to pursue his dreams.
In your marriage/relationship - are you building up your spouse/mate and letting them know that, not only do you love them, but you are also proud of them? Or are you focused more on the negative - tearing your spouse down, criticizing him or her, or trying to fix perceived problems? While of course no marriage is perfect and no spouse is either, at the same time, my thought is - if you want a long-lasting and happy union, try to find things to admire and respect in your spouse, and make those the focus.
Think of your spouse as a diamond. He or she may have some flaws, but, when put in the setting of your love and acceptance, the beauty of the diamond will be much more noticeable than the minor flaws.
If you are proud of him/her. Please do not hide them. send in photos of the both of you or theirs only to Lailasblog@gmail.com
