In a few weeks on December 3, NBC will be airing The Wiz Live, it’s special holiday event this year that will bring the 70s Broadway hit, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" to life on TV,  and publicity is in high gear, with images of the characters in full costume being shown to the public.

The show stars Nigerian/American award winning actress Uzo Aduba , Queen Latifah, Common, Neyo and more and producers have just released some promo photos of the stars in character. Over the weekend, ”The Wiz’, played by Queen Latifah was revealed, and yesterday ‘Glinda the Good Witch’ (Uzo Aduba) was revealed for the first time.

“The Wiz Live!” is adapted from “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” by L. Frank Baum, with a book by William F. Brown, and music and lyrics by Charlie Smalls. The production opened on Broadway in 1975 at the Majestic Theatre and won seven Tonys, including Best Musical
