We all have boarded a Taxi at one time in our lives and have a lot of tales to tell about that particular experience, some good, some bad, some extremely horrendous.

FilmOne Distribution alongside Orbit Imagery and House 5 production presents to you a hilarious tale of the night life of taxi driver in the never sleeping city of Lagos.

The lead character Adigun played by AMVCA winner Femi Jacobs, is a 31 year old naive village mechanic coming to Lagos for the first time. His decision comes following the sudden death of his father, a man he never truly knew... yet a man very popular in his village as the iconic Lagos taxi driver ‘Okoashewo’.

It tells the story of how Adigun copes with dealing with the multitude of odd characters he comes across working at night from Delia the queen prostitute, to Kakanfo the unseen vigilante, the notorious assassins ‘three wise men’, to the Godfather, Baba Mistura and many more interesting characters that ply their trade in Lagos at night.

You may be wondering, why should I watch this movie? We’ll tell you why.

It is a strong contender as one of the most beautifully shot film ever, to have come out of Nigeria.

It takes you through the journey of both a Taxi Driver and its passenger adding a very funny and hilarious twist to it.

It’s star studded with the likes of AMVCA winner, Femi Jacobs, Odunlade Adekola and Hafiz Oyetoro.

Taxi Driver (OkoAshewo) is a great fun story, remarkably and beautifully filmed and we encourage you to go watch it at the cinemas, because we bet it’s going to be laughter all the way.
